Paddle Canada – Intermediate Big Canoe Instructor

Successful candidates receive the Intermediate Big Canoe Instructor certification.
The Intermediate Big Canoe Instructor is certified to:
- conduct Introduction to Big Canoe Paddling Skills and Intermediate Big Canoe Leader courses
- apprentice on an Intermediate Big Canoe Instructor course (Advanced Leader Big Canoe Skills are required
Cost: $525/person plus PC fees
Paddle Canada Membership Membership – Instructor: $99.99/person
Instructor Course Pre-requisites:
- At least 18 years of age
- must have “sterning” a big canoe experience
- Big Canoe Instructors must teach from a solo canoe so must hold strong solo paddling skills.
- Open to the idea that this course deals with learning to control the canoe (making wide and tight turns, pivots, docking, and running through a slalom course) with a group that just paddle forward and back
