Cooperstown Canoe Race

Huge congrats to Saskatchewan’s (and Regina Marathon Canoe Club’s) own Mike Vincent (and partner Al Shaver) who won the 50+ masters pro canoe class race at Cooperstown!

The General Clinton Canoe Regatta brings racers and spectators from all over the US, Canada, Europe and South America to paddle in this premier canoe racing event. The Regatta has grown from the one day event to 4 days of canoe races plus many other events; a 5k run, wrestling tournament, carnival rides, entertainment, food, fireworks and more.

Grassland National Park

Usage of the Frenchman River in the park may be affected:

“Parks Canada has made two applications to the Minister of Transport for the replacement of the Dixon and Walker Bridges located in the West Block of Grasslands National Park. The work is required to improve safe access and includes the replacement of each bridge and associated road work. A description of the work, its sites and plans can be found on the Common Project Search Registry.”  – Excerpt from Public Notice
