Sprint Provincial Athlete Testing – November

  • Wascana Racing Canoe Club, Regina, SK
  • Saskatoon Racing Canoe Club, Saskatoon, SK
• Ages: 14 – 21

This is the first provincial bench marking event of this year and is aimed at assessing current athlete performance across the province. This testing session is crucial for identifying key focus areas and establishing seasonal performance objectives for athletes aged 14 to 21, including those in the Canada Games age category (U21). This bench marking initiative will coincide with same testing being conducted by clubs in both Northern and Southern Saskatchewan.

Testing Overview:
Age-appropriate tests will be conducted to evaluate each athlete’s performance. The tests will include:

• Chin-ups
• Push-ups
• Rowing Ergometer Test
• Standing Long Jump
• 1500m run (weather permitting)
• For older athletes, additional weight-based tests

Testing will take up to approximately four hours, depending on the number of participants.

The objective is to gain a comprehensive view of athletic performance within our province and more broadly, ensuring alignment with training goals and provincial standards. Additionally, this data will be instrumental in supporting CKS funding applications and programming decisions.
