The CanoeKayak Canada Officials program is a structured progressive program involving three levels of Officials. The fourth and final accreditation is obtained through the International Canoe Federation. The program stresses integration of theory, practical and competency based assessment at all levels.

• Level 1 – Club Competitions
• Level 2 – Divisional competitions/Provincial competitions
• Level 3 – Inter-Divisional Competitions/ National Championships/ Canada SummerGames/ Special O

CanoeKayak Canada Officials are trained to ensure two fundamental requirements of any sprint regatta at all levels of competition: Safety and Fairness.

Minimum requirements to become and Official
A. Minimum 16 years of age;
B. Membership to Canoe Kayak Canada;  (through CKS)
C. Willing to complete the appropriate training;
D. Commitment to volunteer for a minimum of 2 days per year.
