Eagle Point Classic
August 23
When: Saturday Aug. 23, 2025.
Registration at 9:00am at the boat house. 18km race start at 10:00, 7km race start at 11:00.
Where: Eagle Point Marina, La Ronge, SK
Events:
- 18km race: goes through Downton Lake to Nut Portage and then to the finish line via McGibbon Bay. 3 portages total.
- 7km race: goes down McGibbon Bay 3.5 kms, around a small islet and then back to the finish line. No portages.
Cost: TBD
Rules: All canoe welcome. Paddlers with racing shells are warned that the longer race has sections of bog lake travel. Wind conditions may make shells too dangerous to use.
Lifejackets MUST be worn WITH whistle. Bailers and sponge recommended.
