It focuses on preventing abuse, misconduct, and harmful behavior in all sport settings. Through education, training, and clear codes of conduct, Safe Sport empowers individuals to identify, address, and report misconduct, promoting accountability and transparency. By fostering a culture of respect, Safe Sport ensures that everyone, from youth athletes to professional coaches and volunteers can engage in sports without fear of maltreatment. Ultimately, Safe Sport aims to create a positive space where individuals can grow, learn, and participate in sport safely and with dignity.
Canoe Kayak Saskatchewan is dedicated to upholding the principles of Safe Sport by offering training, resources, and support to coaches, officials, athletes, and volunteers.
