DESCRIPTION:2025 CKS DEVELOPMENT REGATTAS SERIES\nSRCC REGATTA\, SUNDAY JUNE 22 \nSaskatoon Racing Canoe Club will organize the first event in the 2025 CKS Development Regattas Series. SRCC is pleased to invite your club to participate in this competition for U14\, U12 & U10 and other novice athletes. We are looking forward to hosting your club’s developing athletes and families for a fun day of competition at our facility on the South Saskatchewan River. Below you will find the regatta details. Do not hesitate to reach out to SRCC coaches to get further information on this event. \nDate: Sunday\, June 22\, 2025\nFirst Race to start at 11:00am. Regatta expected to end at 3:30pm \nLocation: SRCC is located in the Victoria Park Boathouse in Victoria Park in Saskatoon’s Riversdale Neighbourhood. DESCRIPTION:CANCELLED – due to the wildfires.\nPimiskatan Canoe Club will be hosting a marathon paddling clinic at their club house at Eagle Point Marina on June 7 & 8\, 2025. Instructions will be by two top North America marathon canoe racers from Saskatoon & PCC’s own Dave Brundage.\nGreat for learning new technique or brushing up on race strategy\, wake drafting\, paddling in shallows\, buoy turns\, equipment\, etc.\n\nSend registration (first 24 accepted) to wkelly@accesscomm.ca.\nRegistration fee of $20 can be e-transferred to Pimiskatan Canoe Club at the previous email address or paid by cash/cheque at event. Open to the general public but must be comfortable around water & previous marathon paddling experience would be of benefit. SUMMARY:SK Team Trials (CSG) & U14 Regatta
DESCRIPTION:The June 7 Canada Games Team Trials have been expanded to include races for U12 and U14.  On RAMP these races are listed as 2025 Saskatchewan Team Opener U12 and U14. \nThese races are open to all younger athletes who wish to compete in an early season race.  For the Season Opener\, Surf Skis are welcome in the kayak events.  In the U12 category athletes will race 200\, 500\, 1000 and 2000 meters.  In the U14 category they will race 5000 meters in place of the 2000 meter event.  Canada Games Team Trial contenders will all race 5000 meters in addition to the 200\, 500 and 1000 meter events. \nRaces will begin at 9:00AM on Saturday\, June 7.  The plan is to have all races concluded by 3:30 PM\, making it a one day event.  Most clubs should be able to drive and compete in one day. SUMMARY:RMCC Event- Lumsden to Craven Race
DESCRIPTION:This 16km race offers a race experience and the opportunity to learn from others in a group environment. Creek paddling is challenging due to the meandering river flow\, the changing depth conditions and the effects of waves generated from boats and the river bed. The race provides a group environment in a small creek where mistakes are amplified and learning opportunities can be found at every turn. This race also promotes pack paddling by allowing teams to turn as soon as they see another boat coming back downstream. The result is a fast paced\, chaotic finish as all boats return to the start/finish line with a few minutes. The race start and finish locations may change every year based on current water flows. Races may begin upstream from Craven\, upstream from Lumsden or downstream from Lumsden. This helps make race tactics for even the most advanced teams more challenging to prepare which makes this race very challenging. \nMore information and race entry can be found on the RMCC website or through their social media!
