Canoe Kayak Saskatchewan Announces Medalist’s at the 2018 Canadian Sprint Nationals

Saskatchewan athletes medal at the 2018 Canadian Sprint Canoe Kayak Championships in Sherwood Quebec August 28-September 2018.

 

  • Daniel McCullough of Saskatoon Racing Canoe Club (SRCC) won gold in the U-16 Men’s K-1 1000M.
  • Jayden Hingley (WRCC) & Robin Kendal (WRCC) won silver in the Junior Men’s C-2 1000M.
  • Daniel MCullough (SRCC) & Colin Rieger (SRCC) won silver in the U19 Men’s K2 1000M.
  • Simon Chambers-Crease (WRCC), Robin Kendal (WRCC), Jayden Hingley (WRCC) & Christian Patterson (WRCC) won silver in the Junior Men’s C-4 1000M.
  • Jayden Hingley of Wascana Racing Canoe Club (WRCC) won a bronze medal in theU17 Men’s C-1 200M.
  • Jayden Hingley (WRCC) & Christian Patterson (WRCC) won bronze in the U17 Men’s C-2 1000M.
  • Jarret Kenke (SRCC), Mykel Kowaluk (SRCC), Daniel McCullough (SRCC) & Shawn Mydan (SRCC) won bronze in the Open Men’s K-4 200M.

Also competing at the Nationals were the following paddlers from the province;

  • Tomas Patterson (WRCC)
  • Kyle Jackson (WRCC)
  • McKenzie Millar (WRCC)
  • Zoe Neiser(WRCC)
  •  Aysha Sparrowhawk (WRCC)
  • Mattea Patterson (WRCC)

Athletes are looking forward to August of 2019 when they are competing at the Canadian Sprint Nationals in Regina at Wascana Lake.
